General steps for fan selection

1) before selecting fans, it is necessary to know the production and product quality of domestic fans, such as the types and specifications of fans produced, the special uses of various products, the development and promotion of new products, etc., and fully consider the requirements of environmental protection, so as to select the best fans.
2) according to the different physical and chemical properties of the gas delivered by the ventilator, the ventilator with different purposes shall be selected. For example, explosion-proof ventilator shall be selected for conveying explosive and flammable gas; dust or pulverized coal ventilator shall be selected for discharging dust or conveying pulverized coal; anticorrosive ventilator shall be selected for conveying corrosive gas; high-temperature ventilator shall be selected for working or conveying high-temperature gas in high-temperature environment.
3) when there are more than two kinds of fans available for selection in the performance chart of fan selection, the one with higher efficiency and smaller unit number shall be selected preferentially: the one with larger adjustment range, of course, shall be compared and determined by weighing the advantages and disadvantages.
4) if the impeller diameter of the selected fan is much larger than that of the original fan, in order to use the original motor shaft, bearing and support, it is necessary to check the starting time of the motor, the strength of the original components of the fan and the critical speed of the shaft.
5) when the centrifugal fan is selected, when the motor power is less than or equal to 75kW, it is not necessary to install the valve only for starting. When high temperature flue gas or air is discharged and centrifugal boiler induced draft fan is selected, valves for starting shall be set to prevent overload during cold operation.
6) for the ventilation system with noise reduction requirements, the ventilator with high efficiency and low peripheral speed of impeller shall be selected first, and it shall work at z high efficiency point; corresponding noise reduction and vibration reduction measures shall be taken according to the propagation mode of noise and vibration generated by the ventilation system. Generally, the vibration reduction measures for fans and motors can be based on the vibration reduction foundation, such as spring damper or rubber damper, etc.
7) when selecting fans, try to avoid parallel or series operation of fans. When it is unavoidable, the ventilator of the same type and same energy should be selected to work together. When series connection is adopted, there should be certain pipeline connection between the primary fan and the secondary fan.
8) the selected fresh air fan shall take full advantage of the original equipment and be suitable for field production, installation and operation.
